The Benchmade 940 is a knife that was designed by Osborne and it features a reverse tanto blade. The blade is made out of CPM-S30V stainless steel and it has a plain edge. The blade on this knife measures 3.4 inches long and it has a thickness of 0.115 inches. The handle on the 940 is made out of anodized aluminum and it features a contoured shape. The handle also has a hole at the end which can be used for lanyard attachment. The overall length of the knife is 7.87 inches long and it weighs 2.9 ounces.

The Benchmade 940 has a blade that is perfect for slicing and piercing tasks. The reverse tanto blade geometry gives the 940 excellent strength at the tip while still providing good slicing performance towards the belly of the blade.
